interesting...

nice idea but it sounded kinda awkward to me- the snare with the guitar that starts off. other than that i really liked it. a neat little twist to zelda.

Khuskan responds:

I havnt changed the song in any way. I listened to it (repetedly) on the gameboy, recorded it into soundforge then copied it as best i could in cubase. It origionaly had an introduction and then looped, but loops are more usefull for flash, so i cut off the introduction and it starts off at the begininning of the loop. My snare was a tad prominent though, maybe i should of toned it down.

sweet

an awesome tune! great job too! just a bit too short. if u made it longer with a few more variations i'd give u at least a 9. but still really nice man

Realmguys responds:

Thanks so much for the review! Yeah I'm really regretting how short this is, and I didn't get it to loop right... I'll take my 7 and swallow it gladly. :)

pretty kool

i remember wen this game came out...it was THE game! lol. brings back memories- in my friend's basement gettin mad that we kept losing lol.

anyway, other than that, the remix itself felt kind of...not boring...but it lacked excitement. but i guess the faster tempo that u said it was supposed to have would help.

just a suggestion- towards the end i think u briefly bring in (snare?) drums? if u kept them and made them a bit louder i think it would help. but that's just my opinion.
all in all i like it.

Josh-Lennox responds:

The whole reason I submitted these songs is to gain constructive criticism such as yours. Thank you!

nice

i'm surprised i like this as much as i do (cuz its been done so many times before) but i really like wut u added. it adds so much more to this

AznPB responds:

Hey Mike, thanks for your input on the Sichee Ation. :P I really like what I added too.

pretty kool

is it just me or does some of it sound distorted? i actually really liked this but to get an 8, 9, or 10 u'd have to clean it up a bit. other than that it was pretty good

The-Objekt responds:

yeah the soundfont i used for the spanish guitar needed to be a little cleaned up and i dont think i remember putting a blood overdrive on the spanish guitar anyway thanks man -popkorn

great

i don't think i've heard a remix of this on newgrounds until now, very nice choice.
hmm, not much to say about this one. i like it alot, like the stings u added to ur usual piano solos, and quite enjoyed this.

afliXion responds:

Yea, it was a nice choice wasn't it. lol.
I decided to add the strings because I thought it was simply to many parts for one piano to play. I'm glad you like the mixture.

very nice!

i could be wrong but it sounded like u made a few variations to it...or maybe it just sounds different cuz its on the piano? well, either way i thought this was really good! i think this is the best piece i've heard from u so far. it gets louder in key parts and i really got into this. awesome job, keep up the good work

afliXion responds:

I think the variations yoru talking about are the little grace notes. In the video game sometimes it will slide from note to note. But a piano can not slide, so I added some grace notes because there the next best thing. And also I hope you meant best arrangement of mine, cause I like some of my songs better. heh

good

the only thing i didn't like was that it sounded like u put accents on every piano note (but it sounded good with the strings). but i just thought that wen the piano was by itself that it sould be a bit more flowings and less punctual. i felt that that is a dramatic change that u can make but other than that i really like it, good stuff.

just a side thought, i know that this is ct but i just noticed that it sounds alot like that old theme from ff wen the strings come in.

Cilmeron responds:

well it's the same composer (nobuo uematsu) and so it's quite normal that there are similaritys.. that epilogue theme is almost the same as the love theme from ff iv and I think it's also somewhere in the ending theme of ff viii :)

good

i dunno y, but it didn't sound as kool as the other two. the other two were songs that u'd never expect to hear on a piano but this didn't give the same effect. there wasn't anything bad about this, it just didn't feel new...maybe cuz it's been done so many times (which i won't fault u on). but this really is a classic and u did a good job on this. i look forward to future submissions

afliXion responds:

I like your reviews lemming. Always good obvservations. I'm not really sure what to say about it not being as cool as the others. I guess your right that its just not, 'new.' I've got 2 songs coming up, but there different than anything else on here so far. >:D

again, pretty kool

some parts of it seemed out of place...or sounded off...i don't mean different from the original, but just off (34sec). but i still enjoyed it and i'm glad u did this, nice job
about your response in ken's theme- i meant different instruments cuz i don't think i'd like drums with just the piano in either of these pieces...however, i'm starting to get used to the piano on its own

afliXion responds:

I noticed some parts sounded out of place to. The reason is the base part is not as 'out there' in the original version. But on a piano its very clear. I still like it though. Its good your getting used to piano, cause thats what I like to write for. Thanks for the review.
